Suck My Kiss is a mesmerizing and immersive dynamic light environment that invites viewers to enjoy an engaging experience that suspends conceptions of time and space through the universal power of light and structure. The volumetric work of art features a cluster of 15 custom-designed LED light tubes fabricated to the Adrian Sierra Garcia’s specifications by Norwegian engineering firm NullOhm. Composed of polycarbonate tubing and aluminum, these programmable and interactive lightsabers radiate a limitless array of intriguing light patterns. Originally designed for Adrian Sierra Garcia’s monumental interactive art installation, Of Two, on the Simone de Beauvoir footbridge in Paris, the sabers have been exhibited in numerous configurations throughout Europe, Mexico and the United States.
Artist/designer, Architect. I am currently living and working between Paris, Los Angeles and now, Tijuana. I create ephemeral light-based environments that invite and inspire viewers to celebrate the profound power of light. My work integrates art and technology into the slipstream of daily life, transforming ordinary public spaces into immersive urban art experiences that foster community, interpersonal communication and contemplation.
With my artwork, I seek to transform space, volume and perception with an implicit desire to introduce a dreamlike quality to my environments, while inviting everyone’s participation. Although a polyglot (English, Spanish, French, Italian), I find my most authentic expression through the universal language of light. At a visual and experiential crossroads, palpable and sensitive, my work embodies the profound willingness to reach and touch each and every one of us.
